Elementary School Counselors facilitate Social/Emotional Learning lessons with their classroom teachers once a month in a “class meeting” format. Each month has a different theme based on CASEL’s Framework (right).

SEL Class Meetings

Elementary School Counselors support Tier 1 Social Emotional Learning needs through monthly SEL lessons in all classrooms. The SEL lessons are facilitated by the School Counselor along with the classroom teacher in a “class meeting” format. Each month has a different theme based on CASEL’s framework.

SEL Groups

Elementary School Counselors also support students in Tier 2 (small group) and Tier 3 (long-term and individuals) by providing small group SEL. Students are often referred by their classroom teachers or the child’s success team.
