Kindergarten Registration 2023-2024

State Police Training
On January 30 through February 1, 2023, the Pennsylvania State Police will be using the Pennington Elementary School in order to train for an active shooter event.
S.T.E.A.M. in Garnet Valley Schools
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math are all crucial subjects that students learn in school. New Supervisor of Transportation
We are excited to announce a change in leadership within our Transportation Department. Ms. Arlene Mann, who has served our district as the Dispatcher for over 7 years and as a driver for the department since 1993, has been promoted to Supervisor of Transportation.

As you now know, BusPatrol outfitted the entire fleet of Garnet Valley buses with automated enforcement technology to detect the license plates of vehicles that fail to stop for school buses, putting children at risk.
School Breakfast Served at No Charge for Grades K-8
As of October 1, 2022, and through the end of the 2022-2023 school year, Garnet Valley School District schools, excluding Garnet Valley High School, will be able to serve students a school breakfast at no charge.
Rosh Hashanah
Monday, September 26th begins the religious celebration known as Rosh Hashanah. It is a time for looking forward to a new year with anticipation and reflecting on the past year to improve ourselves for the next.
New Realities of Parenting
This year’s program will be held at Garnet Valley Middle School on November 3rd, at 7pm. This unique opportunity is available to all K-12 parents to learn, share, and support each other as a community.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING 2022-23 SY TRANSPORTATION
Our administrative team has been working to support our new transportation supervisor to navigate the opening and through this support, we have identified areas of improvement. These improvements will begin on Monday, September 12th.
Used Bus Bid Request
The Board of Education of the Garnet Valley School District will receive sealed bids for the purchase of:
Used 48 passenger fully tracked lift bus with air conditioning or used 30 passenger fully tracked lift bus with air conditioning.
State Police Drill
On Wednesday, July 20th from approximately 7:30AM to 10:30AM the Pennsylvania State Police will be using part of Garnet Valley Elementary School in order to train for an active shooter event.
Before and After School Programming for K-5 Students
Our team is proud to announce that Garnet Valley has partnered with Champions to provide before and after-school programming for our K-5 students next school year.

Our Garnet Valley School District site is currently inaccessible to anyone outside of our district campus. We have been working diligently with the site platform representatives, and our network representatives to correct this issue.
Lunch Program for K-8
The federal program that allowed Garnet Valley School District to provide free meals to all students in grades K-8 is expected to expire June 30, 2022. Grades K-8 will return to pre-pandemic food service operations for the 2022-2023 school year
