Yesterday afternoon multiple vehicles were broken into at Concord Park next to GVMS. It's imperative that we work together to ensure that Garnet Valley remains a safe and caring community. Please take the following steps to improve the security of your vehicle
Rescheduled - New Realities of Parenting
Due to a number of conflicts with other events within our school community, the GV-CTC has rescheduled the New Realities of Parenting event to Wednesday, November 9th. The event will still take place at 7:00 p.m. at Garnet Valley Middle School.
Rosh Hashanah
Monday, September 26th begins the religious celebration known as Rosh Hashanah. It is a time for looking forward to a new year with anticipation and reflecting on the past year to improve ourselves for the next.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING 2022-23 SY TRANSPORTATION
Our administrative team has been working to support our new transportation supervisor to navigate the opening and through this support, we have identified areas of improvement. These improvements will begin on Monday, September 12th.
2022 Summer Activities
We are excited to offer a number of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities during the summer months. These activities have been created for your children, facilitated by our teachers, and will be located in our schools.
Bus Fire
Today, one of our school buses caught fire while it was receiving repairs to its electrical system at our maintenance garage. The bus maintenance garage is located behind the high school. Since the bus was proactively identified as needing repair, there were no students or drivers on board.
Garnet Valley School District Celebrates the Arts
The Garnet Valley School District will host the 2022 “Celebration of the Arts” at Garnet Valley High School with the opening exhibition on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the High School gymnasium.

Masking–Revision to the Health and Safety Plan
Effective February 25, 2022, CDC does not require wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs." As a result of this change, masks are encouraged but not required on Garnet Valley School District transportation.
2-14-22 Masking Update
February 22nd regular meeting Garnet Valley School Board will vote on revising the District’s current Health Plan to recommend but not require masking in District buildings.
Update on Masking
The next step for our district considers transitioning from masks required in all district buildings to masks recommended, thus giving students and employees a choice based on their comfort and needs.
Black History Month
During the month of February we celebrate Black History Month. We continue to honor the men, women, and children that stood up to injustice, promoted peace and love, and encouraged the world to embrace the idea that all of us should be treated equally.

All after school activities are canceled this afternoon due to impending weather.

Lunar New Year 2022: Also known as Chinese New Year and Spring Festival, it is celebrated by Chinese communities across the world.
1-28-2022 Early Dismissal
We are dismissing students early today. Road conditions are deteriorating and our sidewalks and driveways are beginning to ice as well.
1-7-2022 weather closing
All schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 7, 2022. In addition to our school closures, our Test-to-Stay program will not operate again until Monday, January 10th.

GVHS Names Eric VanWyk as New Head Varsity Football Coach
The Garnet Valley High School Athletic Department is excited to name Mr. Eric VanWyk as the new head varsity football coach.
